Orthopaedic Trauma

Orthopaedic Trauma consists of patients who have suffered severe musculoskeletal injuries and related complications that will include:

Acute injury

  • Severe fractures of the upper and lower extremities, including open and complex periarticular injuries
  • Spinal fractures
  • Pelvic and acetabular fractures
  • Complex femoral fractures

Complications/Chronic

  • Nonunions and malunions

  • Infections and osteomyelitis

These patients are treated in the private hospitals in Mombasa where there is adequate facility including imaging intensifiers, adequate instrumentation and availability of implants
